Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Btagly ("we", "us") is operated by Orlin Ralinov Martinov, a sole trader registered in Malta. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Btagly website, Chrome extension, Telegram bot, and service, and what we do with it.
What the Chrome extension reads
The extension reads the content of a web page only when you explicitly start an audit on that page. When you do, the following is sent to our servers to run the audit: the page URL, the links extracted from the page, anchor text, the presence of required disclosure text, and page metadata such as language and title.
The extension never collects:
- Your browsing history or the content of any page you did not audit
- Data from other tabs or windows
- Cookies, passwords, or form input
- Anything in the background: it has no ability to open pages or click links on its own
Account data
We store your email address, your organisation's name, plan and usage counters, the rule sets you create, and the results of audits you run (including link redirect chains and disclosure-text findings). This is the product: audit history is retained so you can prove what a page looked like on a given date.
The Telegram Monitor bot
When you connect Telegram, we link your Telegram user ID to your Btagly account so we can deliver your reports. When you add the bot to a channel as an admin, it reads new posts in that channel to find and check the links in them.
From your channels we store:
- The links found in posts, their normalised form, and their check verdicts per market
- Message IDs, post timestamps, and channel metadata such as title and timezone
- Usage counters, and the schedule of any posts you ask the Publisher to send
The bot does not store:
- The text or media of your posts: only the links and their health, never the content around them
- Messages in groups or supergroups, or any private messages beyond the commands you send it
- Anything from channels you have not added it to
For monitoring, the bot holds admin status with every permission off and cannot post, edit or delete. The Publisher add-on is the only feature that posts, and only to the channels and at the times you schedule.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record. We never see or store your card details. Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Service providers
We use a small set of processors to run the service:
- Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the EU)
- Railway (application hosting, EU region)
- Netlify (website hosting)
- Paddle (payments, merchant of record)
- Resend (transactional email: login links, alerts, reports)
- Residential proxy providers (used only to route link checks; no personal data of yours passes through them)
Retention and deletion
Audit data is retained for the lifetime of your account. Deleting your account permanently deletes your organisation's data, including audit history and rule sets. Contact us at privacy@btagly.app to request deletion or a copy of your data.
Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)
We process account and audit data to perform our contract with you, and minimal operational data (logs, security events) under legitimate interest. You have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. The Maltese Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) is our lead authority.
Chrome Web Store disclosures
The Btagly extension has a single purpose: auditing the affiliate links and required disclosure text of a page you choose to audit. In the Chrome Web Store's data taxonomy, the extension handles: personally identifiable information (your email address, used solely to sign you in) and website content (the URL, links, anchor text, and required disclosure text of pages you explicitly audit, used solely to produce your audit results). It does not collect health, financial, authentication, personal-communication, location, web-history, or user-activity data, and it contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.
We do not sell user data, do not transfer it to third parties outside the processors listed above, do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, and do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose. All data use complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
